Who We Are

Music That Raised Us is a company that produces educational music revues, that go beyond a performance or tribute in order to create unforgettable and informative entertainment. Founded in 2022, it started off as a one time historical music revue in honor of Women’s Month, celebrating black female artists throughout music history.

Now, Music That Raised Us has two original shows, which include “Black and Beautiful” and “The Motown Sound”. Both shows incorporate historical narratives, visual art, choreography, and of course high energy performances. Music That Raised Us has partnered with Michigan Music Alliance, Frederik Meijer Gardens, and Saugutuck Center for The Arts.
